Character: Elizabeth Middle ford
Sample Starter:
"Oh, Paula, do loosen the corset please," She puffed out a sigh, and then a low heave and an intake of breath once the strings had been loosened and undone enough for her to resume natural breathing. She never did enjoy wearing them, for they were uncomfortable after sitting, standing, and walking around in them. Once it was off for the night, having Paula help discard the rest of her clothes and undergarments for a fresh night gown; while the ribbons in her hair would loosen, golden locks undone to cascade down the length of her back.
"Ah, much better.. Thank you, Paula." She murmured, as she stretched, moving minuscule her toes, and making her back taunt, while she inspected herself in the mirror for a moment -- and that was when she wondered something, as she gazed at herself. Her femininity. If it was enough. But before she could answer, the chipper voice of her wonderful, soft spoken maid, with no intention of maliciousness spoke --
"My, Lady Elizabeth; if it weren't my own perception, it seems that you've grown just a tad taller. Isn't that wonderful?" Her lips curled in mirthful jest, while she brushed a lock of blond hair from the girl's face. The other only pouted, while the corners of her eyes almost, almost bubbled. "That -- isn't a good thing, Paula. Don't say that -- that isn't a good thing." She turned her head, looking towards the heeled shoes that had rested close by, ready for her to wear the next evening when she would see her beloved Fiancee', and suddenly, she no longer felt compelled to wear them. No longer excited, when they seemed like such a good, cute decision before.
"On second thought.. I don't think I'll be wearing those new shoes tomorrow, Paula. " Her voice was soft. And before the previously chipper copper-brown coloured girl would ask, Elizabeth finished herself. "They're a bit too high, I think. And I'm already.. taller," she didn't like the thought. "Than Ciel as it is, and you know, you know Paula."
She shouldn't be taller than her fiancee'. Paula was the only one who knew more deeply past anyone else -- even her mother -- her concerns.
"You know how it might make him feel, if that were so. I don't want that -- you know," She didn't want to make room or cause to ruin absolutely anything for the next time she saw him. Looking up at Paula, who understood the impact of her words, Elizabeth's bottom lip jutted out while green irises glimmered with an iridescent haze. "We'll be possibly going on a trip together; if I can convince him that is, and hopefully he will say yes -- but as for those shoes, I don't think they'll do anymore. They simply just won't. I should sleep now, though... It's late enough. I don't want to be tired in the morning." A few seconds given, Paula only murmured a compliant yes, and lead her to the four poster bed in the middle of the spacious room. Coloured in pastels, the same as her bed covers, a pretty light pink. Pulling them aside, and tucking herself under, she laid her head against the plush of her pillow; while she looked at Paula expectantly, for a good night, like usual.
Before she blew the candle out, and after she patted the bed covers and assured her lady was comfortable, she whispered a brief word of assurance in her leave. "I don't think he would truly mind at all, My lady. You're adorable, either way.." And Lizzy was left to sleep -- while she dreamed of words and lessons, of being proper and cute, dainty and thin, and that underlying desire, to simply please him.
