(But I call him Finny... I'll make the account if it gets accepted, so that I don't clog up the site with unused accounts, as i've done on other sites )
Character: Finnian (Finny)
Sample Starter:
From the mansion, the land rolled softly, in a gently sculpted fall that was too perfect to be natural, to the bright ribbon of the river; a truly picturesque scene.
Coming down the side stairs, Finny faced the overgrown hedged border of what had once been the formal garden, the shape just visible under the excess foliage, like good bone structure in someone who has let himself put one some pounds. Weeds and vines pushed up through the gravel and paving stones of the path, but he braved it anyway. He couldn't help but think that his new method of gardening hadn't worked, after all, as Sebastian had said...
He sighed, wondering what exactly the Master would say when he saw that in the centre of the jungle-like undergrowth was the once beautiful topairy, gone shapeless with neglect. Perhaps he shouldn't attempt the "natural" look again; it clearly hadn't worked all too well, which was both surprising and hugely disappointing, to say the least. Finny would have ventured further into the garden, but he stayed back, wary of what weird and wonderful wildlife might have found a home within the snarled weeds. This was the Phantomhive estate, after all. One never knew what may be nesting in there, lurking, awaiting its next victim...
Though it could just as easily have been a rabbit, or some other form of harmless creature.
He frowned slightly, fiddling with the cord that held his straw hat in place, unsure of how to go about restoring the gardens to their original, breathtaking beauty. To be honest, Finny was resisting the urge to run and roll and yell at the universe for no apparent reason, but he eventually settled for lowering himself to the lawn, attempting to ignore the manifestation of long grass and weeds. He dug his fingers into the grass, anchoring himself to the ground, hoping that perhaps the young Master hadn't yet seen the garden.
Instinctively, Finny glanced up at the mansion, half expecting to see him or Sebastian right there, giving him some form of withering look. He wouldn't be surprised, judging how his luck was going so far.
A jolt of panic surged through the boy at the thought of what Sebastian might say. He was frightening enough at the best of times, being as perfect and precise as he happened to be. It was such a terrible predicament, indeed that he had gotten himself in, for now he'd be forced to ask Sebastian for assistance, again.
Thank goodness that they weren't housing a guest, or as far as he knew. It would be horrible if anyone at all happened to see a garden in such a state at all, let alone one of the Master's guests. He wondered whether the flamethrower would be useful to kill the unwanted weeds, thus revealing the hidden plants and flowers, this restoring the garden to its original beauty. However, considering what happened last time, this probably wasn't the brightest of ideas.
